The Youth Rising Project has conducted its third and final Stakeholders meeting.
The interactive and brainstorming gathering was organized by YARD-LIBERIA through the Youth Rising Liberia project funded by the European Union, and implemented by UNIDO in Liberia.
Speaking at the program, the Project Director from YARD-Liberia,Inc. Dennis Kromah, said the “Youth Rising Liberia Project” intends to give a new face to multilateral facilities across the country and to rebrand TVET Education in Liberia.
Mr. Kromah hailed local leaders and residents for embracing the initiative which also addresses the many unemployment challenges young people of Liberia are faced with to take advantage of TVET Education in Liberia.
Director Kromah at the same time encouraged Liberian youth to take advantage of TVET Education and the donors to continue the project across the country to enable citizens to achieve their goals of acquiring technical and vocational education in Liberia.
For their part, participants at the meeting appreciated the European Union for its funding and partner organizations for the great initiative. They also used the medium to call on other Liberians to take TVET Education seriously.
The one-day stakeholder engagement was well attended by the youth and students community with a focus among other things on the importance of Technical Vocational Training Education (TVET) in Liberia.
The two weeks” activities brought together local county officials, administrators, quarter chiefs, religious leaders, community-based organizations, youth, and students started on November 28, 2022, and ended on December 9, 2022.
